Thank you to the Whitten staff. Everything was handled with kindness and compassion. Options were presented clearly and fully explained giving us plenty of time to consider choices. Thoughtful suggestions were helpful.This was a cremation, and there were follow-up calls keeping us up to date as to when it was complete and the urn was ready. Assistance was also given with filing life insurance and social security, as well as options for bereavement help if needed.

Courtnie was so easy to talk to and completely understood our needs, no trying to upsale on additional services. Offered all the options for us to pick from. Highly recommend them. We also attended dinner presentation. Very informative and the food was delicious !!

Whittens Funeral Home is where all of my friends and family members has went to for many years. I always get treated like a very special person every time I go there. With lots of love and respect I will never go anywhere else. Because Whitney's Funeral Home is my family's resting place. You can start by making Whittens funeral home your family's final resting place as well.

When dealing with the death of a loved one, having kind and supportive people taking care of details in the background is a huge help and comfort. Brian is compassionate and helpful and helped us tremendously. Paul and the rest of the staff at Timberlake and Monelison were also kind and helpful. We appreciate the service and care we received.

Paul Whitten was very kind, compassionate and patient. He attended all of the "things" at my husband's memorial service and I didn't have to worry about anything - he took care of everything with such precision and kindness. I'm sorry we needed his services, but am very grateful for them.

My mother pre-planned and pre-paid for her funeral. It was wonderful to know that everything was just the way she wanted. I also wanted to do the same for my adult children. It makes it all so much easier for a grieving family! And paying at today’s prices is a true no brainer. Whitten made the process easy and pleasant. I called several funeral homes in Lynchburg and asked them to email information so I could decide what I wanted in advance. Whitten was the only one willing to do that. William Rhudy was wonderful and kind. When we met all of the paperwork was ready. He explained everything to me as I signed the paperwork! I would recommend Whitten and their preplanning process to everyone! Call or email Mr. Rhudy and he will get you set-up and you will feel so much better!

Paul Whitten exceeded our expectations in every way! He made special arrangements for our family to visit with our loved one during the holidays prior to cremation, and even called to check on me during Christmas Eve! Whitten's Timberlake is the only funeral home I would ever use or recommend!

Whitten has cared for three family members in a very short amount of time unfortunately, however, they have been incredible to work with each time. Most recently Brian took my call right before the passing of my vibrant mother and followed us through our entire journey taking her to her final resting place and he was exceptional. Even placing a photo with my mother in with her just prior to her being lowered that my 6 year old autistic daughter drew as we sat graveside in her own way of coping. I can’t say enough positive things about such a heartbreaking time in my life. Thank you so much for your care and compassion.
